Procedure to become a Doctor in Army:-
To be a doctor in Indian Army, you need to be a MBBS degree holder from AFMC. Once you completed your MBBS course from AFMC you will be provided a permanent commission for a minimum of 7 years as per the rule of college. AFMC refers to Armed Forces Medical College of India and to get admission in the same you must satisfy the requirements given below:- You must have the nationality of India. Your age must lie between 17 years to 22 years. You must have completed your class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology group along with English as your main subjects and your aggregate must be at least 60%. Also, your minimum marks in each subject must be at least 50% marks. You must have appeared in NEET, as merit list for screening test is prepared on the basis of NEET score only. A candidate can join the services as a doctor in Indian armed forces like Indian Army or Indian Air Force or Indian Navy through to the armed forces Medical Services.
The candidates who joined through this they get the two types of commission in the service that is permanent commission and Short Service Commission. Procedure to become a Doctor in Army:-
You can join the Indian Army as a doctor by two ways:- 1 - SSC - Short Service Commission 2 - AFMC Cadet Entry AFMC Cadet Entry, candidates must have a 12th with PCB with not less than 60% marks. In SSC the applicant can be up to in age of 45 years and must acquire in medical candidate from a recognised university by the Medical Council of India. Getting admission to MBBS in the AFMC is the best way to entry as a doctor. However, you need to look for advertisements for vacant seats in newspaper . You can join Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) after Class 12
Or - You can complete your MBBS in a civil Medical College and join Army Medical Corps (AMC) directly as a Medical Officer. |
