Well definitely you can become an IPS officer after completing B.E. Degree.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services

To become an IPS Officer, You have to appear in Indian Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC annually.

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


There is no restriction on percentage for IPS Civil Exam, just passing marks is enough to appear in this exam.

One can also apply for IPS while in final year of degree course.

For IPS, You Age should be with in 21 to 30 years.

Relaxation of 5 years for ST/SC & 3 Years for OBC candidates.

You should be an Indian National.

Both Male & Female are eligible to apply for this Exam.

Civil Service Main Exam

Important Notification for IPS(Civil Service Exam) 2012:

Date of issuing of application form- 04.02.2012

Last date of receipt of Application- ]05.03.2012

Date of Preliminary Exam exam- 20.05.2012

Date of Main Exam- 15.10.2012
