Re: How to become an IPS officer after completing B.A?
I will explain everything to you. Firstly the Indian Police Service (IPS) exam is conducted under Civil Service Examination by the Union Public Service Commission. The forms of this entrance exams are made available during the end of the year.
A Bachelor of Arts degree is certainly sufficient to appear for Civil Service Examination. However it must be completed from a recognized college. There is no need to worry about percentage since there is no such criteria. Now if you have decided to appear in the entrance exam. You must start the preparation now and fill the form when it is made available during the end of the year. To start prepartion you should do the following: Select 2 optional subjects for the main examination and 1 for preliminary exam. The hint would be to select subjects from the course and the ones you find easy. Improve your English communation and writing skills. Read and watch a lot of news to keep yourself updated to latest happenings in the world. You can also study NCERT books for the Class XII. Apart from that, download some sample question papers from internet and try solving them. It is best way to find out about your strength and weaknesses. Eligibility Criteria 1. You must be Indian citizen to be eligible to apply. 2. Bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized college would be sufficient. 3. No percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is set at 21 to 30 years. 5. OBC are eligible for 3 years relaxation in upper age limit. 6. Similarly SC as well ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |
