sir, i am serving Indian Army as a clerk and completed BSc in this year, i want to be come an IPS officer, Please guide to me, how to prepare?

In order to become an IPS Officer, you need to qualify the selection process of UPSC. The selection process includes prelims and mains exam. Applications for the same can be submitted through the web portal of UPSC. Preparation for the exam can be made using reference books based on exam syllabus. Practicing previous year question papers and reading news papers will be useful to clear the exam.

now i'm a student class 11 in science i want to be a ips officer but i don't know how i do it...??please tell me how to become ips officer??

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

This exam is a civil Service Examination. And this exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

The applicant should pass the Graduation from recognized University with any stream.

The candidate not required the percentage for this exam.

Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible.

Age limit:

The applicant age limit is between 21 to 30 years.

The upper age relaxation is applicable for the other categories.

3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC.

5 years upper age relaxation for the SC\ST.

10 years upper age relaxation for the PH.

Nationality:

The applicant should be citizen of India.

General- 4 times

OBC- 7 times

SC\ST- No limit

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness, can apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam.

Apart from this the candidate should have minimum physical requirement such as:-

HEIGHT:- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection is through three stages:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

After B.Sc. one is eligible to apply for Civil service Exam but before sitting for exam one should prepare for Civil Service rigorously at least for one year.

The Qualifications Required For IPS Exam are mentioned :

* you must hold a bachelors degree in any stream from any UGC recognized university.
