IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

To apply for CSE (IAS,IPS etc) you first need to be a GRADUATE candidate.

#Guidelines-

-Start your preparation with NCERT's from 6th to 12th.

-For CSAT, command over general studies, comprehension, interpersonal skills, logical reasoning and analytical ability, decision making and problem solving and general mental ability.

In order to get into the Indian Police Service(IPS) a candidate must clear the Civil Services Exam which is conducted every year by the UPSC..

To become an IPS, you have to apply for UPSC exams.

There are some eligibility criteria given below for the IPS aspirants:--

1) The candidate must be an Indian.
2) The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.
3) For SC/ST candidates there is a provision of 5 years age relaxation.
4) Te candidate must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university.


Number of attempts:-
• General candidates: four attempts.
• Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
• Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

Dear Friend,

IPS Stands for Indian Police Services.

If you want to join the Indian Police Services then you have to crack the Prestigious Civil Services Examination.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Civil Services Examination is considered amongst the toughest examinations in India in which over 10 lakh candidates appear every year and only 250 are selected.

The Eligibility Criteria that you should have to be eligible to appear in this exam are :

a) you must have completed your graduation in any stream from any UGC recognized university.

b) Candidates in Final Year Of Graduation are also eligible to appear in the exams.

c) you should come in the age bracket of 21-30 years.

d) you will be granted relaxation in age of 3 years if you belong to OBC Category and of 5 years if you belong to SC/ST Category.
