IPS Stands for Indian Police Service and this examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year, The examination was Held in 2 Stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, Preliminary examination also called CSAT Examination.

CSAT Stands for Civil services Aptitude Test, this examination was Preliminary and there are Two Papers in this examination and both are Objective.

For This year UPSC Civil services examination was already Completed and If you are Interested in This examination, then please apply for this examination Next year, If you have completed your B.sc degree course. Graduation is the Minimum eligibility To apply for Civil services Examination.

If you are Eligible then you have to fill the Online application form In Next year after declaring the Notification, the Notification of Next year examination was Going to be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012.

Those who satisfied the eligibility Criteria may apply for this examination Online OR Offline, The Offline application form Can Be Obtained directly form the Post Offices in India. Firstly you have cracked the Preliminary examination, only then you are eligible for Main examination. The selection are based on Preliminary examination and Main examination OR Personal Interview.

To apply for This examination, you need to complete your Graduate degree course and your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. So, please apply for this examination next year, if you are Interested to Become IPS Officer and for more Information check the official website -

Hello friend,
Since you have completed B.Sc. (IT), you are eligible to apply for civil service exam, provided you are within the age limit of 21-30 years.
To apply for the exam, you may obtain the application form from the designated post office or head post office.
You may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in

The application forms for the upcoming civil service exam will be available from 04-02-2012.
The examination will be conducted on 20-05-2012.
