i em in BCA 1yr.nd want 2 become an income tax officer. want 2 know is BCA is sutable 4 income tax exam.

One can become an Income Tax officer after appearing and clearing the SSC CGL exam .

The eligibility criteria for the Income Tax Officer exam are as under:-

-The candidate must possess Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is from 18 years to 27 years.There is relaxation in upper age limit for for OBC candidates by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

The selection exam for the post of Income tax officer is held in three stages.

Stage 1: Written Objective type Examination (Tier 1)

General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks

Gen.Awareness- 50 marks

Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks

English Comprehension - 50 marks

Total Marks - 200

Duration: 02 hours


Stage 2 : Written Conventional type Examination (Tier 2)

Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks (100 Questions)

Duration: 2 hours

English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks.

Duration : 2 hours

Total Marks : 400


Stage 3: Personality test/Interview :100 Marks

Yes you can become a income tax officer but you must complete BCA course. For getting the job, you must apply for SSC exam. Even you can apply for the exam being in the final year or after completing the course.

SSC stands for Staff selection commission

The eligibility for SSC exam is
1. A candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. A candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.
2. The minimum age limit for SSC exam is 18 years.
3. The maximum age limit for applying for SSC exam is 27 years.

The exam is conducted across India by UPSC board.
