A diploma completed candidate can not be eligible for IPS(Indian Police Service) exam because the minimum educational qualification is Graduation. So complete your graduation to eligible for IPS. UPSC conducting this exam every year once. The candidates who are completed their bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university are eligible and one morething is that no need of percentage to eligible for this exam. The candidates age should be in between 21 years to 30 years. Three years of relaxation for OBC candidates, Five years of relaxation for SC/ST candidates, Ten years of relaxation for Physically Disabled candidates. Selection process:- Civil Services Preliminary Examination, Civil Services Mains Examination, Personal Interview. Number of attempts of is based on the category of the candidate. There is a chance of 4 times for General candidates, there is a chance of 7 times for OBC candidates and there is no limit for SC/ST candidates. Physical standards:-

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness, can apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam. Apart from this, the eligible candidate should have minimum prescribed Physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT - General /OBC Male - 165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST - Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.
