How To Enter Indian Army After B.Tech

After B.Tech you can join the Indian Army through CDS (Combined Defense Academy) Exam conducted by the UPSC every year in February and September..

Eligibility Criteria :-

A candidate who fulfills the following criterion is eligible for appearing for the CDS Exam :-

>> The candidate must have completed his graduation in any stream from a recognized institution..

>> The candidate must also be within the age limit of 19-24 years in order to join the Indian Military Academy (IMA)

A candidate needs to clear the following rounds in order to get recruited :-

>> Written Exam
>> SSB Interview
>> Medical Examination

Exam Pattern :-

The candidates shall be tested based on their knowledge in the following topics :-

>> Elementary Maths
>> English Language
>> General Knowledge

Indian Army can be joined after B.Tech. through NDA/TES.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam is conducted by UPSC two times a year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

In order to join Indian Army/IMA of CDS, one must be an inmarried Indian male candidate having either appar for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

TES - Technical Entry Scheme conducted by Indian Army, the candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree in any stream or B.Tech. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or pass from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness, is eligible to apply for TES.

yes you can join INDIAN ARMY after completing your B-Tech degree. To join indian army you will clear the CDS exam then you can achieve your target.
CDS stands for Combined defense services. this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.
Eligibility Criteria For CDS is

candidate should be graduate or its equivalent from recognized university.
for Air force maths and physics subject is compulsory in the graduation
Age Limit
age of the candidate must be 19 to 25 year.
Indian Military Academic 19 to 24
For Officer Training Academy 19 to 25
For Naval 19 to 22
Indian air force 19 to 23

I am a student of 9th class of ICSE syllabus . I want to join army after writting NDA examination .But what course should i take in 12th satndard.

Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination and atleast, have 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English. You can join Indian Military Academy or Officers Training Academy after completion of graduation. There are medical and physical standards to be met for joining the Indian Army. During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age.
