i am varun.i am persuing my b.tech 3rd year,i very much interested in joining army after completing my b.tech,so can you tell me how to join in army?

A Engineering graduates can join indian army

• join in the 3rd year or that final year through the UES(University Entry Scheme)
  
• or after completion of graduation through Technical Graduate Scheme, by appearing before the Service Selection Board.

In both the cases you can be posted as a captain.

and also you can apply for Combined Defence Services examination as a regular/short service commissioned officer..

• For regular service training will be Indian Military Academy , Dehradun..
  
• For short service Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai...

Short service is for 5 years and after completion of 5 years either you can resign or opt for an extension for five years or a permanent commission.

*the candidates should be a Indian citizen
*the candidates should be a graduate from any discipline from a recognize university,
after this you can apply for upsc, cds nda exam through which you can get job in army.
for 3rd yr or final yr student can join through ues exam

dear friend,

You can't apply in 3 rd year for Indian army . but after completion of your B-TECH course you are eligible for Indian army.

Also you can apply in 3 rd year is possible.

Eligibility for CDS:

The candidates must be a citizen of India.
The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.

For Indian Military academy:

Only male unmarried candidates with 19-24 years of age are eligible.

The candidates must have a degree from a recognized university is needed.

entry into indian army happens after your +2 when you may sit for nda exam or after your graduation when you may sit for cdse exam.
since you are in your 3rd year hence you can sit for cdse exam in your final year.
also engg. graduates may apply for short term/permanent service in technical cadre by giving the engineers knowledge test exam.you can apply for it when you are in your final year of graduation.

tes you can join army after the completion of btech 3 year. you have to clear the entrance test of army ie nda

How to Apply:- Apply to Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting (TGC), Army HQ, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi - 110066 in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov.

but you can only apply when you are graduated or in the last year...........

Mode of selection:- Direct SSB interview

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

For Indian Military Academy:-
1.Candidate have to complete the graduation in any trade.
2.Candidates age should be in between 19-24 years.
3.Candidate must be a citizen of India.
4.Candidate must be physically fit..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.

You can also apply for technical branch in Army through USE exam.
Eligibility for UES exam:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field with 60% aggregate.
2. Candidates age should be in between 18-28 years.
3.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..

I am happy to say that you can join Army after third year of B.Tech course.

Vacancies Per course:- 60

Notify in Employment News and leading Daily news Paper:-
Notified by Additional Directorate General Recruiting / AG Branch in May.
Applications to be forwarded to respective Command Headquarters as per the areas indicated in the notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Age between:-
19 and 25 yrs as of first day of month in which course is due to commence

Qualification:-
Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course

Marital Status:-
Un Married

Application to be Received by:-
as specified in the notification.

Likely SSB Date:-
Jun-Jul during final year
