To join National Defense Academy, there is no percentage criteria for the qualifying examination. The academy comprise of Army Wing, Air Force Wing and Naval Wing.
Now, in order to join the Air Force and Naval wing of National Defense Academy, the aspirant must have qualified +2 level of examination with Physics and Mathematics as major subjects whereas for Army wing, Physics and Mathematics in the +2 level is not mandatory.

Union Public Service Commission conducts NDA Exam for assessing candidates eligibility to join the academy. This examination is conducted twice a year and candidates within the age limit of 16 1/2 years to 19 years are only considered eligible for the exam.

NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in every year, In this there is no percentage is required in any stage.

NDA has three wings:
Indian navy,
Indian army,
Indian airforce.

Eligibility criteria:

+2 is the educational qualification.

Age limit is 16.5years to 19years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Candidate should be physically fit.

Yes, you can join the prestigeous NDA after scoring 45.5% in 12th.
The requirements are mentioned below:-

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy Examination , this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year .

You can join any one of the following Defence services by cracking this examination .

-Army wings
-Navy wings
-Air force

Minimum Height :-

~~Army wings :- Acceptable height is 157.5 cms .

~~Navy wings :- Acceptable height is 157 cms .

~~Air force :- Acceptable height is 162.5 cms .

Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

Additional Requirements :-

-Running : 2 to 4 Km. in 15 minutes
-Skipping
-Pushups : Minimum 20 each Sit-ups
-Chin ups : Minimum 08
-Rope Climbing : 3 to 4 meters.

You have to pass 12th examination from a recognized School or equivalent qualification and those who are appearing in the final year of 12th exam may also eligible to apply .

You must have a minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years and there is no relaxation given to the reserved categories . Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply .

The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply all the three wings of NDA but the candidate having without the above subjects are only eligible for Indian Army of NDA.
