To get selected as IPS officer, you need to qualify, CSAT and mains exam as the primary step. Exam preparation can be done after collecting detailed syllabus from the web portal of UPSC. You have to prepare on general awareness, logical reasoning, QA, verbal ability etc to qualify CSAT. There will be a total of 9 papers for mains exam including general science and optional science selected. Also you need to practice for qualifying Physical Fitness Test.
