Hello Sir/Madam, I have completed my 12th around 5 years ago. But there is a spelling mistake in my name that I want to correct in the marksheet. Kindly let me know that how I can correct my spelling. Please help me to know about this immediately.

To get your name corrected in your 12th standard certificate, you have to contact your school principal where you have pursued your 12th standard and inform him about the same. He may ask you to fill the application form for name correction and you need to pay the specified fee, so, that your application will be forwarded to the main board and you will get new certificate with correct name within 10-15 working days.

Changing name in 12th class marketeer will vary based on the board.
If you belong to CBSE board then you cannot change the name in 12th class marksheet because according to the CBSE board you can change within 5 years from the date of declaration of the certificate.

If you belong to other boards then you can apply for name change. You need to visit the school principal or apply through online by visiting official website of the board and fill the application form for name change and attach the documents for proof and submit them. After checking the documents they'll send you the certificate with correct name through post or collect it from the school.
