i would like to tell you that the admissions to both of them i.e. IIT and IISC are done entirely on different basis ..

So , i am providing you the informations regarding both seperately ..

~ADMISSION TO IISC ::

so as to pursue Phd , you need to opt for the same subject for which you have obtained master degree i.e. ECS which is also available at all IISCs

as you have obtained master degree so there is no requirement of any entrance test .

Short listing is based on the academic performance in the qualifying degree (upto 3rd year in BE / B Tech), and their performance in 10th and 12th /PUC examinations and than the shortlisted candidates have to pass through the interview ....

this year's admission has closed so you can apply next year ..

~ADMISSION TO IITs :

i will like to tell you that they take their admission through seperate tests for different IITs and also an overall exam named GATE is organised every year so as to admit students in Phd programs ...

all the entrances has closed for this year so , you has to apply for the next year only as there are no other criteria's of admissions to them ...

but admissions are opened for some govt. deemed universities such as thapar institute of engineering and technology ...

The admission to IISC or IITs for Phd or research programs is conducted two times each year.

Phd or research programs are offered almost in all engineering fields. It generally takes 3-5 years to complete this course.

All IITs and IISC,Bangalore take admission to Phd or MS.

The IISc and some of the IITs like IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati offer Phd degrees/programs in Communication. The institutes have entrance exams for admission in these programs. Your previous academic performance/excellence is also considered.For more details, you can visit the individual sites of these institutes (particularly the ECE departments).

Is gate exam is the only entrance to do Phd. or any other we have to write

And not only that my B.tech persrntage is also very less i.e55% and my M.TECH persentage is (70 )% and my inter and 10th persentages are above 65%.B ecause of my life goal is to do ph.d i n IIT or IISC.So kindly give me your valuable informatoin. thankyou sir/mam.

the admission in iit and iist for the p.hd is done on the basis of the gate score so you have to give the exams of the gate,if you want persure the phd from iit or iist.

there are so many options in front of you,
to take admission in IIISC or IIT ,you should score in Master degree minimum 60%,
then are chance to take admission.

to take admission in IIT ,each institute have its own entrance exam,
for IISC there is no restriction for entrance exam..

i have got 61% in 10th, 65% in puc, and 55% in BE and lastly 67% in MTECH and not taken any entrance test.
