YES of course, you are eligible to apply for IPS entrance exam after completing Graduation course. As you have completed B.Sc from Bio so youcan apply for IPS Exam.

IPS is Indian Police Service


Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year conduct Civil Service Examination for recruitment of aspirants in various civil serves of government of India as given Below..

So if you want to become an IPS officer then you need to crack this exam. To appear in this exam your Age should be in between 21 to 30 years. There is some Age relaxation is applicable in upper Age limit for ST/SC & OBC candidates as per government norms. Both male & female candidates appear in this exam & to join IPS you must have an Indian Citizenship.

Physical requirements for IPS

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate.

As you have completed your B.Sc. Graduation Degree, you can apply for IPS through appearing Civil Service exam.

The selection is through three phases:-

CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary Exam which comprises of all objective type questions.

Civil Service Main Exam which comprises of subjective type questions from the syllabus as prescribed by UPSC.

Personal Interview

After written exam there is certain prescribed physical fitness standard to be maintained for those applying for IPS.

The Height of General male candidate should be 165cm and that of female candidate should be 150cm.

The Height in case of SC/ST/OBC male candidate should be 160cm and that to for female candidate should be 145cm.

The chest of male candidate should be 85cm and that to for female candidate should be 79cm and expandable to 5cm in both the case.
