indian police service exam is conducted by the upsc(union public service examination) once in year.
eligibility criteria: 1.the candidate should be completed graduation from a recognised university. 2.age limit is 21 to 30 ,3 years age relaxation for obc candidates and 5 years age relaxation for the sc/st candidates 3.candidate should be a citizen of india. 4.final year candidate also eligible. selection procedure: 1.preliminary exam. 2.main exam. 3.interview. no of attempts: 1.4 times for general candidates. 2.7 times for obc candidates 3.there is no limit for sc/st candidates. for more details visit www.upsc.gov.in all the best |

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. As you have completed your B.Sc. Graduation Degree, you can apply for IPS through appearing Civil Service exam. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary Exam which comprises of all objective type questions. Civil Service Main Exam which comprises of subjective type questions from the syllabus as prescribed by UPSC. Personal Interview After written exam there is certain prescribed physical fitness standard to be maintained for those applying for IPS. The Height of General male candidate should be 165cm and that of female candidate should be 150cm. The Height in case of SC/ST/OBC male candidate should be 160cm and that to for female candidate should be 145cm.
