hi..
to join army after the 12th class the best way is to write the NDA examination,
it is conducted by the upsc twice an year,their are two stages of examination,
first stage is an written examination and the second stage is an ssb,you will be selected on the basis of your both exams,
the written exam is conducted for mathematics , English and general knowledge.
after getting selected you will be given training and education in the nda academy in pune for five years and you will taken directly in the army in the rank of an lieutenant,

Procedure to Join Indian Army -
1. Written test,
2. Physical tests,
3. Medical tests,
4. Group tests and
5. Personal Interview.

To join Indian Army after 12th then you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. NDA exams.

NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Educational Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years.

Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

1. Eye Sight = 6/6,
2. Height = 167 cms,
3. Weight: 50 Kg
4. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

The Eligibility Criteria For Indian Army

After completing 12th std you can join Indian Army as an officer through
NDA exam. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC in twice in a year. The
minimum educational qualification for the NDA exam is pass 10+2 exam
and the age must be between 16-1/2 to 19 years.

7. Duration of Training- 3 years at NDA and 1 year at IMA.

To join in indian army after 12th std you must write an entrance exam called

NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC. If you are short listed from the exam

results you will be called for a physical test. If your also selected in physical

test you can join in indian army as soldier.

der r in all 3 ways by wich u can b a part of INDIAN ARMY.The chief institutions that frame the future soldiers of the Indian Armed forces are National Defence Academy (NDA) , India Military Academy (IMA) , Officers Training Academy (OTA), Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) , National Defence College (NDA)..

IMA (INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY) - 10+2 PCM Technical entry Scheme-
if u have more than 70% marks in PCM ,u can enter directly to IMA and the age limit under this scheme is between sixteen and a half to nineteen and a half years.

NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY)- give UPSC exam for NDA wich is conducted twice a year,clear d tests and get into ARMY.age eligibility is between sixteen and a half to nineteen yrzz..

OTA ( OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY )-the formalities of OTA r quite similar 2 dat of IMA.having more than 70% marks in PCM , can give u direct entry to IMA and the age limit under this scheme is between sixteen and a half to nineteen and a half years.

Yes,you can join in Army after 12th standard,by appearing NDA exam.
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
Candidate should have completed 12th standard with maths and atleast physic or chemistry as compulsory subject.
Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

If you really interest,then you have chance to apply for NDA-II exam till 9th May 2011.

You can write NDA(National Defence Academy) Examination which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

The good news is that even after 10+2(12th),you can have a try for your dream job,the INDIAN ARMY.
And you can do that through the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam which is conducted by the UPSC and SSB.The advertisement for the same is published generally in the month of March/April and also in October/November.
The courses are started from the month of January and July.
The required age at the time of joining must be 16 1/2 to 19 years.

The pattern for the NDA exam=:
Written test-objective type).

Mathematics of 300 marks of 2 hours duration and General Ability Test of 600 marks of 2 hours duration.


Those who qualify the written test are called for Intelligence and personality test,such as group discussions,group tasks etc,along with the interview.


The 10+2(PCM) can also try for the Army through the Indian Military Academy.The advertisement are generally published in the month of MAY and NOVEMBER for which the courses begins from January and July.
The age at the time of joining should be 16 1/2 - 19 1/2 years.

10+2 passouts students can join Indian Defence forces by appearing in National Defence Academy (NDA) examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year in the month of April and August.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the examination, candidate must be a male Indian within the age limit of 16 1/2 to 19 years on the date of commecement of training. Minimum educational qualification required is to be 10+2 passout with any of the stream.

10+2 appearing students can also apply for the examination.

2.) 10+2 pass students with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60%.
3.) Age limitation is between 16.5 to 19.5 years.
4.) Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.
5.) Eyesight should be 6/6 of both the eyes.

1.you can appear for NDA exam which is conducted twice in a year.............the application forn is avilable at post office,after clearing the examyou will be called for an interview and physical along with other test combinely called as SSB.
2.2nd is technical entry and for this you don't have to appear for any exams you selection for the SSB will be based on your %ages in 12th exams.....................

there are two ways through which you can join indian army namely:-
1.NDA
2.TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME.
The NDA stands for national defence academy which conducts its exams twice a year for about 300 vacancies in army,navy and air force.It has a paper clearing which you are being called for SSb interveiws at various centers across india and if you clear that interveiw also then you are sent to NDA khadagwasla pune for 3 yrs of training.this exam can be given after 12th.
technical entry scheme is somewhat based on your 12th marks ,firstly you have to fill up the form against the notification of upsc and then if you cross cut off you are being called up for ssb at centers and if recommended 4 yrs training and study is done at various CME across india.so all the best.
