yes you can join army after 12th, but The route is through competitive
exam to NDA - National Defence Academy and you will be a Leutinant on
completion of the course. so please check employment news or you can
join indian army with the help of direct bharti as well.........

while studying in 12th you can appear for the NDA exam which is conducted twice in a year.....if you clear that exam then you will be called for the interview and if you clear that also then you will be called for the medical exam..........if you clear all these exam then you can join the indian army..........so start preparing for the exam and fill the form when it will be released next time.............

you can opt for the exam of the nda1 and nda2 andeven if there are job vancies in the army and then you can apply for it................

If your age is within 19 years then you can sit for NDA exam which is conducted twice in a year i.e in the month of April and August.
you have to clear the exam and then you will be called for interview,physical fitness & medical test.
after completing all these you can join Indian Army.

Other than NDA, these are the ways to join Indian Amry:


Graduates (Direct Entry)
The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent.


Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry)
An Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. They only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview. Age at the time of joining should be between 20-27 years.


University Entry Scheme
Students who are in final and pre-final years of engineering degree course can also apply to Indian army as an officer. They are eligible for induction into technical branches/services of the army as commissioned officers under the University Entry Scheme. Age should be between 19-25 years for final year engineering students and 18-24 for pre-final year engineering students.


10+2 PCM (Tech)
There is an another option for 10+2 PCM (Tech) candidates through which one can enter directly to Indian Military Academy. Age limit falls between 161/2-191/2 years.

Age : 19 to 24 yrs

Qualification : Graduation from recognised university


SSC (NT)(Men)

Eligibility Criteria

Age : 19 to 25 yrs

Qualification : Graduation from recognised university


NCC (SPL) Entry Men

Eligibility Criteria

Age : 19 to 25 yrs

Qualification : Graduate 50% aggregate marks, 2 yrs service in NCC Sr Div Army with minimum 'B' Grade in C Certificate Exam


JAG (Men)

Eligibility Criteria

Age : 21 to 27 yrs

Qualification : Graduate with LLB/ LLM with 55% marks. Registered with Bar Council of India/State

you have to give NDA exam to enter into indian army. After clearing the exam there will be physical test, group discussion and interview also. So, you must prepare for that also.

if you are a science student with 70% and above in PCM and want to join army as an engineer officer, then you can go for 10+2 technical entry scheme(TES). on the basis of aggregated marks, merit list is formed and if you qualify in that you will be directly called for SSB interview held in Allahabad,Bengalooru,Bhopal.

medical test is conducted for qualify candidates. clearing this will open the door of Indian Army for you.........

You can apply for the NDA exam if you belong to science stream.
This exam is conducted twice in a year.
This year one exam had already been held and the other one is on 22nd August.

Right now, you are not eligible.
But, you may join after your graduation through CDS entry scheme.

You can join indian army by giving entrance exam like N.D.A in which if you qualify you will be called for interview and after that if you passed a medical test is conduct after succeding that one you will be selected,For details you visit www.upsc.gov.in

Career in Defence

Mode of Entries for +2 Students:-

1) NDA (National Defenc Academy).

2) TES (Technical Entry Scheme).

NDA: is conducted by UPSC (http://upsc.gov.in) twice every year probably in the months of april and september, notification for which are announced in employment news.Candidate you had passed class 12 (Any subject) can appear for Army wing of NDA, Candidate you had passed/appeared class 12 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate can appear for NAvy & AIrforce wings.age limit- 16 years- 19 1/2 years.

TES: Candidates who have passed class 12 PCM with at least 70% aggregate can find direct entry to defence after cracking a small entrance conducted by Defence service itself.Notifaca are announced in employment news.

A New Way:- Now Defence services are coming through Career/Educational Fares also for hireing Cadets. However, the whole process will be as usual but in Fares Defence representative are there for guiding the Students to whole process.

Advice:- Keep reading Employment News papers always, it will keep you updated and will provide core knowledge for getting through.

You can join army in various ways.
Like NDA, INdian military academy, University entry scheme etc.
But if you are in 12th std. then prepare for NDA.
NDA exam by UPSC and SSB interview.
Apply in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov.

you must have crash course from any training institute in a metro city near you.
Besides you must be physically fit.
it is suggested that you must prepare from "RD Sharma's elementry book of maths for nda"
you must read english news papers and pay special attention to blogs.
it is suggested to practice reading books aloud speaking loudly standing in front of mirror.
you must try to be optimistic.

Candidates who have passed class 12 PCM with at least 70% aggregate are eligible for Technical Entry Scheme [TES].

There isn't any written examination, you have to face SSB interview.

If you manage to get into the merit list, there is a 5 years training, though you will be commissioned after the end of fourth year.

Dear first of all i want to tell you that there are three process to get into Army.

First one is through NDA exam in which first you have to clear the exam then only you will get call for GD and PI.

Second is Direct process i.e. through "Technical Entries". in this you just have to fill the form and you directly get call for GD and PI and it is after class 12th.

Third is through CDS exam which you can fill after completing a degree.

Well, NDA was the best option for you but if you have'nt appeared for it last year then this door is closed for you.

Thats because from now the NDA exam that will be held the minimum DOB required for that would be 1992.

so, in this case if you have scored minimum 70% aggregate including PCM then you can go for TES (Technical Entry Scheme).

yes you can easily go for that through university entry scheme if you are studying at present. otherwise you can entered in Indian army through direct entry scheme if you have completed your graduation.

exam is of 3 hours,taken with general ability test.
