Pay Scale of Indian Army Officer:- Rs. 25000 to 65000

To become an Indian Army officer you need to crack CDS Examination carried out by UPSC twice in a year.

CDS:- Combined Defence Service


Eligibility for CDS:-

• You should have completed Graduation degree in any stream from recognized university.
  
• You can also apply for CDS Exam while appeared/appearing in final exam of Graduation.
  
• To join Indian Army your should be in between 19 to 24 years.
  
• You should be Unmarried, male & citizen of India.

Hi,

you become the indian army officer you crack the CDS exam.

CDS exam stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission twice in a year.

i.e, CDS-I and CDS-II

CDS has three wings

Indian Army

Navy

Indian Air force

Eligibility criteria:

Nationality:

The candidate should be citizen of india.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have completed the graduation from any recognized university.

The final year candidate are eligible for this exam.

There is no minimum percentage required to eligible this exam.

Only the science stream candidates eligible for the indian air force and navy exams.

Gender:

only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

Age limit:

indian army:

age limit is 19 to 24 years.

Navy :

age limit is 19 to 23 years.

Air force:

age limit is 19 to 24 years.

Physical standard:

the candidate physically fit for this exam.

Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination and atleast, have 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English. During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age. After or during the +2 tenure, interested candidates need to write TES Exam for the Army wing . There will be a compulsory paper of Mathematics conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Selected candidates who are declared fit by the medical authorities are allowed to join the Training Academy. If one is declared unfit is considered as temporary rejections and candidates with curable problems like overweight and underweight can be selected on clearing the medicals test.
