How to join merchant navy after class 10th ?

To join Merchant Navy you must pass class 12th or equivalent with at least 60% with PCM and you must have good physical health also .Diploma candidaes with 2 years course after 10th are also eligible to apply.

So you need to pass class 12th first with at least 60% so focus in your studies and try to clear the eligibility criteria and then apply for Merchant navy.There are three categories in Merchant Navy :

• Deck
• Engineering
• Catering

you have just passed 10th , so take science in class 11th with maths means PCM and try to get atleast 60% or more.

You have seek and apply for admission in a college/institute, which you can afford to pursue the course.
There are several institution which offers course in Merchant navy. The full time program is of 3 years.
The average fees for the merchant navy course is Rs. 30000 per year, which includes tuition, hostel and mess fees.

A candidate must have scored 60% in PCM, if he has completed his class ten exams or 55% minimum in B.Sc. Students are also eligible if they have passed B. Tech or BE from any recognized University/College approved by AICTE.

see it totally depends upon your interest...
if you have interest in science and maths take pcm and an additional subject (physical/eco/c++)
if you dont like maths but still are interested in science take pcb( medical field)
if u like both maths and biology take pcmb but it would require a lot of hard work to study
otherwise u can take commerce or if you are interested in law take arts
u can also do a diploma for 3 years and then join a good engg college
