How many subjects are considered in 10th ICSE for admission in 11th ISC?
Sir, My son is in ICSE Board, studying in 10th standard, He has opted English Literature, English Language, Accounts, Economics, Commerce and Mathematics. So, I want to know that how many subjects will be calculated for 11th ISC admission?

For 11th admission, best five subjects of ICSE are considered in which English is compulsory subject.
So, in case, if you have scored very low marks in any particular subject other than English, then you can exclude that subject for calculating overall percentage. Suppose you have scored quite low marks in Mathematics, then you can exclude Mathematics in the best five subjects. And hence, your aggregate percentage of five subjects will be calculated excluding Mathematics. Note that English is compulsory subject in Best five subjects. |

For taking admission in class 11, candidate need to select the best of five subjects marks then divide by 500 and then multiplied by 100. Its all depends upon the student what stream they need to study in class 11. Since you have mentioned the subjects in your post. So, I guess you can either go for Commerce stream or select the arts stream for class 11.
