Re: How many years does it take to complete Ph.D Geography?
Since you are 12th standard you are not eligible for to do a PH.d yet. You need to first complete your graduation and then post graduation. During your post graduation you can decide on area of specialisation. Geography in itself is a vast topic. You need to choose a specific area. The duration will depend on time spent by you for this purpose. Normally it takes 2-5 years.

Re: How many years does it take to complete Ph.D Geography?
Indian PhDs education is operated within a familiar three tiered system, commencing with an undergraduate Bachelor's degree, followed by postgraduate Masters and PhD degrees.
The academic year usually commences in July or August, but admission to a PhD programme may be more flexible and can occurs also in the last of September. As a PhD student in India you should expect to be registered for a minimum of three years. But the duration of this course may also get reduced according to the type of the previous course i.e Post Graduate courses. You should also be aware that some universities may enforce an upper limit on registration periods for full-time PhD programmes (usually five years) in order to ensure the completion of your course. |
