Eligibility for PhD in geography :
Candidate must have a Master's degree in Geography discipline from any UGC recognised university. Yes, you can do PhD in geography without getting 55% in master's degree. There are some universities that give admission in PhD irrespective of percentage like Calcutta University. Adress : University of Calcutta, 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata - 700019. If you have got less than 55% marks and not less than 50% marks then you have some chance of getting admission if you belong to a reserved category.
If you belong to general category then you have no chance of admission in a PH.D programme in India. There is chance of admission abroad with this percentage but you have to qualify other exams like GRE. |
