You have completed M.A in Geography with below 55 % marks so you are not eligible for Ph.D course.

The educational qualification required for Ph.D course is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for Ph.D exam.

Your age should be below 28 years.

Candidate must have a Master's degree in Geography discipline from any UGC recognised university.

If you have got less than 55% marks and not less than 50% marks then you have some chance of getting admission if you belong to a reserved category.

If you belong to general category then you have no chance of admission in a PH.D programme in India. There is chance of admission abroad with this percentage but you have to qualify other exams like GRE.
