UPSC (Union Public Service Commission's) will hold the CDS (Combined Defence Service Exams).

CDS Exam eligibility:

A candidate should be citizen of inidan or
A subject of bhutan or
A subject of Nepal or
A tibetan refugg who came over to india befor the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in india

Age limit:

1. For IMA unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd january, 1988 and not later than 1st january, 1994 only are eligible
2. For Naval Acadamy-unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd january, 1991 and not later than 1st january 1994 only are eligible.
3. For air force acadamy unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd january, 1990 and later than 1st january, 1994 only are eligible.

CDS Educational qualification:

1.For I.M.A and officers's training Acadamy-Degree of a recognized university.
2.For Indian Naval Acadamy: Degree in Engineering for CDSE and degree in engineering in B.Sc with physics or mathematics for NCC entry.

Admission:

last date For I.M.A, Naval and Air force academy on or before 13th November,2012
For admission to officer's training academy, Chennai on or before 1st February 2013.

Examination syllabus:

it consists of 3 papers
1.general english
2.general awareness
3.mathematics

CDS ke liye apko UPSC ki site per form fillinf date mil jayegi.
You can appear for it while you are in BA final year.
age- 19to23.5 years
Medically fit,height 162cms
You can take exams twice in a year. after cracking entrace exam you will be called for SSB( a detailed interview including medical test & psycological test)

how many time apply cds

after doing Bsc. in EMS[english,maths and statistic] , I can go for CDS exam or any other defence enterance exam or not?

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC two times every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entray in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental health, can apply for CDS.

As you are a Graduate from Arts stream, you are only eligible to apply for Indian Army and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The CDS can be applied through online by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is thrugh written Exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The written exam consists of 3 papers:-

-General English
-General Knowledge
-Mathematics
