Re: How much marks are required for UPSC exam?
The marks of candidates who did not qualify the civil services (mains) examination and that of candidates who cleared the three-stage test (preliminary, mains and personal interview) are on the website - www.upsc.gov.in.
According to a list of 1,004 qualified candidates, the topper has got about 53 per cent marks in the examinations. Haritha V Kumar, who was a probationer in Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) 2011 batch, has obtained 1,193 marks out of 2,250 (53 per cent) to top the 2012 civil services examinations, results of which were declared last month. V Sriram, who got second position, has got 51 per cent (1,149 out of the total of 2,250). Stuti Charan, who got third rank in the test, has scored 51 per cent (1,148 marks), it said. Ashish Gupta, who got tenth position in the coveted exams, has scored 48.62 per cent (1,094 marks). "The measure of making public the scores is aimed at increasing transparency in the process," said an official of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which acts as the nodal department for coordination with UPSC. |

Re: How much marks are required for UPSC exam?
Quote:
UPSC stands for the Union Public service commission .It is the examination conducting council of India which is responsible for conducting large number of examinations at the national level. It is not that UPSC conducts a single exam. To be very frank ,your query is not quite clear as UPSC conducts large number of examinations ,for which exam is your query ,I do not know. However in general ,let me inform you that the best thing about UPSC exam is that it just needs the passing % of marks in the qualifying exam . For lots of UPSC exam ,bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement like: >>Civil services exam >>Indian Engineering services >>Combined defense services >>Central Armed police force exam >>Indian Forest services . So for all these exams ,you just need to do your bachelor's degree from a recognized university with passing % of marks .there is no specific % set by the UPSC for the any exam. At the 10+2 level ,you have : >>National defense academy exams >>Special class railway apprentice exam For this also the % criteria remains the same . For any more details ,you can visit www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information helps you.If you have any more query you can leave your message here .We will reply you as soon as possible.
