i want to know the duration to clear the amie

Dear Taran,

Minimum duration is 2.5 years & maximum 12 years for Diploma holders.
Minimum duration is 4 years & maximum 12 years for 12th pass students.

In special cases you may get an extension of 2 years each for completing section A & section B papers one by one.

If u are BE then u have to only apply for the AMIE. you will get the degree.

Me Anurag would like to tell you that the minimum duration to clear the AMIE papers is 4 years and maximum is 10 year, between these 10 year you have to enroll twice, first on starting and second on end of the 5th year and thats called re-enrollment,
each enrollment is valid for 5 year.

If you are a diploma holder you can clear AMIE with 2- 2.5 years.
AND Six year for section A and another six year for section B.If you fail to exempt all subject even after six year another two more years will be available with an additional fees

Sir this is DINESH from Chennai and i am an Diploma holder, i have enrolled my AMIE in Sep ' 2005 , from that i have never attempted any exams , but this Summer 2010 , i wrote two exams in Sec - A ( waiting for results ) , pls tell me that remaining durations to complete Sec A .

i have completed diploma in e&c frm bangalore...with a first class....i am intrested in doing amie but i am in dilemma...is it effective or not as it is priority equivalent to engg.......

*will there be any coaching(tutor) classes for amie

but as a general person if he/she do study carefully , then they can clear the amie within the 3 years.

Hi, I completed my HS in 1992 in pure science and diploma in electrical engineering in 1998. Now I want to do AMIE on Electronics & Telecommunication. I almost forgot the maths and other basic of electronics as I was detouched from my subject. I have the following questions which will help me to take the dicision as I have to spent time and money also, can anybody help me out:

1. Am I have to go through the Maths or my diploma subjects again for appering in AMIE?
2. Is there any AMIE published or recomanded specific books for the syllabus or examinations which only I have to read for the AMIE course? or I have to take references of normal BE and BTECH books also?
3. If I do practice with last 10 years questions then can I get the repeat of such questions (%!!), I mean does the questions repeats or everytime it is something new questions and one have to go through all books and have to spent more time then a normal course student?
4. If I spent per week 10-15 hours sincerly for AMIE preparation then is it will be enough to complete the course within two years?

if i do M.E. from A.M.I.E. , then my degree hv same value lyk GATE / CET passout student??
wil i get high salary job in field or in teaching both?

Dear the minimum time for completion of AMIE is 2 years. As per amie rules any student can attempt 4 subjects in one attempt. Total subjects in amie is 13 for Diploma holders. It means if any student will clear 4 subjects in one attempt which he gives then he will clear within 2 years.

I am very near to complete it within two year......

Dear,

It is compulsory to an amie student to have a job. If you are in section A job is not compulsory but during section B it should be compulsory you have to fill all these information in registration form of Section B. the form should be attested by the seniors under which you are working. Hope so information will satisfy your queries.
