hi!

You should try to improve your knowledge of current affairs & general awareness. For this purpose read some good newspaper daily like Times of India or The Hindu.

You can refer competitive magazines like
pratiyogita darpan,
year book,
yojna
Kurushetra

You can also go through previous years IES general studies paper to get an idea about the pattern of exam & weightage of different sections included in GS. Then start your preparation from the section which contains maximum weightage.

Hai,.
IES exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year.
For general studies you can refer the R.S.Agarwal book, it is very useful for you.
Read daily newspapers like time magazine etc.

For previous year question papers visit
www.upscpostal.in

All the best.
