sir please tell me details about ras-pre exams and how i prepare me for this exam whereas i take computer application as a optional subject.

procedure There will a be written Competitive Exam (Preliminary) at all of the district headquarters of the Rajasthan on 29th september 2010.

The best way for the preparation of any exam is that ,first know the syllabus thoroughly and then go through it ,practice every year question...

Exam will consist of two steps:
1.Preliminary examination
2.Mains examination
Preliminary exam will consist of two papers (one compulsory, one optional ) each containing 200 marks and of 2 hours duration whereas Primarily exam will be qualifying nature only....

Compulsory paper will be :General Knowledge & General Science

It is good that you want to appear for the RAS exam.
First of we need the syllabus which can be found at:

Also it would be a good idea to join a coaching institute, as they can provide you the required guidance needed to crack the exam.

for RAS you must search on internet and take coaching in diffrent coaching institute like kota, delhi,lucknow, kanpur,

for this pupose you should use internet,it has comptetive exams you should pass it with good rank

i will suggest you tht have a complete syllabus with you and then understand the qusestion pattern and then cover he whole sylllbus ,make a plan for study,and work hard,
you must get success.

these are the following guide line for the preparation of te exams
1. cover whole syllabus
2.study thriugh basic concepts,
3.deep study about the type of the question is bing asked in the examination,
4.have a regula practice..

2. After knowing the syllabus , you should prepare your computer app sub by your graduate book reffered in the syllabus
3. For GK , refer to Lucent GK,
4. For GS , refer to 10,11,12 Science books
Apart from these read various magazines like chronicle, Rai samsamiyiki, Pratiyogita darpan etc. Always read newspapers.
It is good if you join some tution centre to take further guidence.

hello friends computer science and computer engineering two different ras optional paper.if you are mca or b.tech you prefer computer engineering else other stream candidate take computer science.For computer engg you can use following books..for computr graphics Hern and Baker,software engginering Pressman 7 edition,operating system Galwin,compiler design andanaltic Discrete math of Jph ,jaipur.conclusion say make your notes from internet and group study..

THE difference between MCA and B.TECH is that MCA (MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS) AND B.tECH (bachelor of technology )-computer science,

the MCA student can get only theoretical knowledge during entire MCA degree, but a B.Tech - computer can get MUltuways knowledge,
in B.tech we syudy not only COmputer books but also some BOOKS from Electronics and mechanical too.

and also the pay scales of A mca degree holder and B. tech holder, WOULD BE DIFFERENT,
a B,tech holder can get the better salary then the mca students.
