MTS [Multi-Tasking Staff] Exam is conducted periodically by SSC [Staff Selection Commission] for recruitment of officers in different Ministries and Departments of Government of India.

The exam has 4 sections to be completed in 2 hours.

General Intelligence & Reasoning - 25questions for 25 Marks
===This tests data interpretation and problem solving capacity.
Numerical Aptitude - 25 questions for 25 Marks
===This is based on 10th standard Mathematics syllabus.
General English - 50 questions for 50 Marks
===This is based on 10th standard English syllabus.
General Awareness - 50 questions for 50 Marks
===This tests awareness of a candidate in current affairs and government policies.

Model question papers are available at the local book stores.
Detailed syllabus of the exam is attached.

This exam is very much similar to the DEO Exam. you can take help of these books for it

3.General awareness; refer to competitive exam magazine. for e.g khanna and verma

Schedule your time properly.Collect all the study materials.You will not find its paper online but can buy from market. For preparation read the Lucent General knowledge book. it will be very beneficial for that exam. for math read R.S. Aggarwal, For english read S.P. bakshi "objective general english" book. for reasoning take anyone from market. you can take help from question papers of SSC data entry operator exam papers because syllabus is same .

Ssc is the first exam of ur life.ssc shows what knowlege you have since from your school life.
Ssc multitasking exam is not at all so dificult,jus you have to concentrate on ur language.
English is the subject which is very important,in the examination if your english grammer is right then you get the chanses of getting good marks. Non of the subject is difficult you just need to learn and undrstand the language and study long answers,short answers will automatically cover in long answer.for every theory paper first of all you need to score marks in objectives that show you have knowlege about the particular chapter.as for easy answer in easy language i suggest IMP(In My Pocket)...and there is self study which is to be read and answer the questions..
