I am aditya currently studying class X,and going to complete my X this year,,,,and m going 2 take commerce in +2... and i want 2 bacome Qualified Chartered Accountant,,,AND I HD READ MANY ARTICLES ON NET,,,ALSO ICAI OFFICIAL WEBSITE,,,,ND GOT TO KNOW THAT I CN REGISTER AFTER 10TH,,,,ND ALSO I HD TAKEN PRINT OF ONLINE REGISTRATION,,,BUT I DNT KNOW HOW 2 FILL DAT,,,OR WHT I HVE TO SEND AND WHERE WHAT I WILL GET AFTER REGISTRING,,,HOWW I WILL PREPARE FOR CPT???...PLEAZZZ TELLL ME ABT THAT,,,,ND PLEAZZZ DNT SEND ME LINKS,,,I WNT HERE ONLY....

Hello friend,
After 10th this is not possible to register in ca-cpt. The minimum eligibility for registering into the CA-CPT is--a candidate must passed 12th that is higher secondary from any authorized institutes or equivalent.
The candidate who passed 12th will be registered into the foundation courses and the candidate who passed graduation will be directly registered into the intermediate of the CA-CPT.

So you are not eligible now after passing 12th you will be eligible.

dude as 4 as cpt is concern ur eligible after +2..u cant register dat in 10th std itself u haveta atleast one and half years 2 get to be registered...u can register ur cpt xam @ dey month of october if u wanna r8 in december r else u haveta 2 register in april if u wanna r8 in june...

You heard something wrong about this exam.The basic eligibility for this exam is you must passed 10+2.Only after 12th can apply for this exam.

Hi,

I dont know from where you got this information that you can register after 10th standard, however i must say that your information is wrong.
You cant register after 10th standard.

To apply for the CPT exam, following eligibility criteria has to be fulfilled:

*Passed the Senior Secondary examination i.e +2 or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
*Also, students appearing for the senior secondary exam the same year, can also apply.

So, you are not eligible now.

Complete your class 12 and then you can apply for the exam the same year.

hello i am ashish from delhi. i prossessing my class 11th. i wanted to know can i register for ca-cpt exam.

you can register yourself with ICAI(our head) after 10th or 10 2 or after graduation..then you are required to pass the entrance exam i.e. CPT in which you have to score a mininmum of 50%(there's a negative marking also)
then you will be required to register yourself for 2nd stage i.e IPCC(there are 2 groups, a total of 7 subjects).. after a gap of 9-12months from CPT you can appear for either 1 or both groups...after clearing group 1 you will have to register yourself for articleship /training under a CA for 3yrs..then appear for Final..there's a GMCS course also...for more details check www.icai.org

we ca register after 10th through which we will get the study material but we cn appear for the exam only after 10+2...

Yes, its true you can register yourself as a student of ICAI after your 10th.
But, you can only appear for the CA first exam CPT after completing your 12th. In between you can prepare for your CPT test.

Only searching on internet and downloading forms won't help you. You need first hand information and that you'll get from Institute itself.

For instance I'm uploading a file here which will help you understanding the process involved in becoming a CA and address of CA offices and India.

Go through the attachement carefully. Hope it will help you.

CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test.

This exam is the entrance exam for CA (Charted Accoutant).

CPT exam is conducted by ICAI board.

This exam is conducted twice every year, 1st in the month of JUNE and next in the month of december.

This exam is of 200 marks.

You need to complete your 12th standard from a reconized university .

The subjects including CPT exam are :-

Mathematics ( which is of 50 marks)

Accountancy (which is of 60 marks)

Merchantile law (which is of 40 marks)

Economics (which is of 50 marks)

The exam is conducted 2 days , 2 hour`s each.

You need to get 50% that is you need to get 100 marks to get qualified.

I think a student can register for CPT after 10th std but can write the exam only after passing 12th std.......or u can even register after gradution but u have to wait for a period of 60 days i.e 2 months to write the exam

You cannot register for CA – CPT after class 10th, but you will have to complete 12th to apply for it.

CPT – Common Profiiency Test

CPT is conducted for admission in Chartered Accountant ( CA) course.

CPT is conducted twice a year and is conducted by ICAI – Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Eligibility for CPT –

10+2 from a recognised board.

Syllabus of CPT –

There are four papers in this test.

The test is of 200 marks.

1. Accountancy

2. mercantile Laws

3. Economics

4. Mathematics

For qualifying this test, you will have to achieve minimum 50 % marks.
