I am the commerce student of first year in accounting and finance. i wanted to join cpt classes for my carrier. so please give me the guidance.

Hi,

You should register with the Board of Studies on submission of the prescribed filled in form which can be obtained from the addresses given on page 3 in Box. The form can also be downloaded from the website www.icai.org

CPT is going to be done in the month of this December and october 27 is the last date. so better luck next time.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry Stage test for Chartered Accountancy Course.

Education eligibility:--

minimum 12 th pass or even graduates are too allowed..

CPT exam conducts twice a year..in the month of

1st JUNE

1st OCTOBER

and notification come before 2 months ..(There are rarely chances of change in dates.)

THE exam pattern consists of 4 hours of two papers and each of 2 hours..

Syllabus

session I

Section A consists of Fundamental of Accounting of 60 marks

Section B consists of Mercentalie Law of 40 marks.

session II

Section A consists of General Economics of 50 marks

Section B consists of Quantitative of 50 marks.

irst Session (i.e. Morning Session) 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile Laws
Second Session (i.e. Afternoon Session) 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)
Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative Aptitude

A guide to Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) Chartered Accountants Entrance Exam conduted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to those students who are already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the said course and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.
The Common Proficiency Test will be held on next Common Proficiency Test (paper-pencil mode) of the Institute will be held on 19th December, 2010 in 135 cities in India and 5 cities abroad

The sale of information brochure cum application forms for the aforementioned test was started : 06th October, 2010

The last date for receipt of forms was: 27th October, 2010

The candidates can also fill in the application form online at http://icaiexam.icai.org from 06th October, 2010 to 27th October, 2010
