How should I apply for UPSC exam after studying in IT
I am studying in information technology engineer(batch 2013-14).
I want to know whether I can apply for UPSC exams? As every where it is mentioned about the civil, mechanical,electrical n EXTC engineers... Then what about IT engineers? n IF we can apply Then do tell me the syllabus and procedure of applying. Will be pleased after having your reply. Thank u. |

UPSC entrance exam comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. For eligibility part, aspirant’s age limit should be between 19 to 40 years. Relaxation is also given for SC/ST candidates of 2 years as per the government norms. Also candidate should be Indian and must possess a graduation degree in Mathematics, statistics, Geology, natural science, civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, economics, Chemical Engineering.

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. Every year UPSC is going to conduct number of Entrance Exams to recruit the candidates into various public services.
As you have completed your Graduation in Information Technology, you are eligible to apply for the following UPSC Exams. Civil Services Exam Indian Engineering Services Exam Combined Defence Services Exam IFS Exam etc. As you have completed your Graduation in Engineering, the best exam for you to apply for is IES Exam.l This is the common entrance exam for the candidates to join in various Engineering services like Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates who have completed their Graduation in Engineering are eligible to apply for this Exam. The required age criteria should be as follows 21-30 years for the candidates of General category. 21-33 years for the candidates of OBC category. 21-35 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. For this academic year, the notification for IES Exam has not been released yet. But as per the previous academic year, we can expect this exam to be conducted in the month of October or November. So, good amount of time is there with you to prepare for the Exam. So, plan yourself accordingly and crack the exam. Wish you all the best. |
