BARC recruitment is done on the basis of GATE. Non-GATE students can apply for BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) online examination which is conducted every year to identify the best talent to work for India's prime nuclear program for engineering and science graduates.

BARC Eligibility
- You must be a citizen of India.
- You must have at least 60% aggregate score in qualifying examination.
- Age Limit : 26 Years. Relaxation available 3 years to OBC, 5 years to SC/ST, 10 years to PH candidates.

Preparation Tips
- Know the syllabus and exam pattern very well.
- Use standard reference books for preparation.
- Make a timetable for preparation and follow till lasts.
- Prepare one by one topic in subject.
- Clear basic concepts of each topic and then learn in depth and breadth. It will help you to tackle advanced level questions.
- Solve practical engineering problems of applications.
- Solve previous papers of GATE and ISRO as BARC questions will be similar to that. BARC doesn't publish their question papers and conducting online examination.
- Practice more and more to gain confidence level.

BARC Written Exam Pattern
- Number of Questions : 100
- Total Marks : 300
- Exam Duration : 2 Hours
- Each correct answer will fetch +3 marks and each wrong answer will deduct -1 mark.
- Questions will be asked only from technical subject including mathematics.
- Questions are similar to GATE and ISRO.

- Starting Online Application : January, 2019
- Last Date of Application : February, 2019
- BARC Written Exam : March, 2019
- Last Date to Upload GATE Score : April, 2019
- Shortlisted Candidates for Interview : April, 2019
- Interview : April, 2019
