I don’t have 12th (HS) degree, Am I eligible for WBCS exam?

Dear sir, My name is Amit Dey, I have completed my graduation 2019 in Civil Engineering.

My question is……..

I complete my 10th in 2013
Then I completed POLYTECHNIC (DIPLOMA) in Civil Engineering 2016
Then I completed graduation in Civil Engineering 2019

So as you can see I don’t have 12th (HIGHER SECONDARY) Degree.

Am I eligible for WBCS exam?
So sir please guide me on my enquiries. I've already started my preparation. So sir it will be very beneficial for me

Yours Sincerely,

Amit Dey

The first thing I would like to let you know that the minimum education required for pursuing WBCS (West Bengal Civil Services) Examination is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

So, having completed your Degree in Civil Engineering, you are certainly eligible for appearing in the WBCS examination as far as the educational requirement for the same examination is concerned. Also, higher secondary school degree is equivalent to Diploma (Polytechnic) in Civil Engineering.

For complete details and updates regarding the same examination, you can refer to the link www.wbpsc.gov.in.

Yes, You are eligible for WBCS exam.

Your diploma is equivalent to 10+2 that means you have completed intermediate.

After completing Diploma you have completed BTech also.

Now you are a graduate candidate to apply for WBCS exam.
