THE eligibility criteria varies from institute to institutes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IIT'S:-10+2 with 60% + IITJEE.

FOR ANYOTHER MERITIME INSTITUTE:- At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII and physical fitness.You are advised to have yourself medically examined by competent doctors before applying to any institute.This will ensure that you meet the minimum requirements, which in turn will avoid disappointment at a later stage.

However all institute eligibility criteria is same except IITS.

Pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% marks and minimum 50% for Mathematics. hey you have not specified your education qualification.....still a person having the education qualification of minimum 12th pass and above are eligible for marine engineering...

you can go for this only when you are from math background,

there are lots of good college in india which provide the course on Marine engineering but you have to clear entrance exams like IITJEEE,AIEEE.

and there are some deemed universities

The minimum eligibility for courses in Nautical science and Marine engineering is 10+2 or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics. He should also pass a medical fitness test for sea service under standard norms and with eyesight 6/6 with no colour blindness.

if u want to do marine engineering ther r good colleges in coimbatore etc all u need if 10+2 pass with more than 60% and u need to ateend AIEEE or IITJEE exam thats it.... al d best.....

There is no such eligibility criteria for the marine engineering..You have to pass your 12th with 60% in all subjects..For the IITs you have to crack the IITJEE or AIEEE with a good rank..Some of the good colleges are:
1.University of Madras
2.Mangalore University
3.Marine engineering and research Institute
4.Chennai school of ship management
5.Cochin University
6.Indian Institute of maritime Studies
If you score well in the entrance exam then you will get a good college
for marine engineering...

dear friend, for doing B.Tech in marine engineering, you have to pass +2 with 60% marks & your specialization must be Physics, Chemistry & Maths in your +2 exam.
you can appear in any engineering entrance exam like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, & many more individuals colleges exams which offers the above course.

You will be able to appear the entrance exams the same year and onwards when you appear 12th board.
