IITs not at all conduct any pilot training course.

If you want to become a commercial pilot you will have to first join SPL
course which takes around year for completion of course.
SPL stands for Student Pilot Licence.

After successfully getting the SPL, you can apply for Private Pilot Training
or Commercial Pilot Training. After completion of this course you will be awarded
Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence.

There are separate institutions (which are mainly Flying Clubs) for Pilot Training course.
Before join any such club please make sure that it is approved by
DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).

Some of the top Flying Clubs are;

The Bombay Flying Club, Mumbai

The Gujarat Flying Club, Vadodra, Gujarat

Government Aviation Training Institute, Orissa.

Bihar Flying Institute, Patna

Dear Friend

The abbreviation IIT is for Indian Institute of Technology.
There are around 15 IITs in India and all these are engieering colleges.
The courses offered in IITs are B.Tech., B.Arch., M.Tech, M.Sc., MCA, MBA,
M.Phil., Ph.d. etc. Not all the courses are provided in every institution but the
courses offered by every IIT lies in the domain mentioned here.

Four campuses of IIT i.e., Kanpur, Bombay, Madras and Kharagpur offer undergraduate
(B.Tech.) and Postgraduate (M.Tech.) courses in Aerospace Engineering.
There is no course being offered at IITs related to Pilot Training.

If you have to do Commercial Pilot Training then you should join a Flying Club or Institute, which are approved by DGCA.

The list of institutions approved by DGCA is attached with this message.
Find it in the attachments.
