is it imp that i join summer training only after BE 3rd year

It depends on your college.
Majority college has it. They make it a part of curriculum, so it is mandatory. Without summer training you wont be graduated.


Few college like BITs have there semester (usually last semester) for summer training. So in that case you need not have in between your 3rd and 4th year. You need to have it during your 4th year.

Summer Training is also important from Placement point of view as it would be written on your CV and you will definitely be asked about this in your interview.
