The marine engineering is a 4 year B.tech course like other b.tech courses.
The minimum eligibility for courses in Marine engineering is 10+2 or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics. You have to also pass a medical fitness test for sea service under standard norms and with eyesight 6/6 with no colour blindness. After doing Marine Engineering, you can get jobs in merchant navy in the posts of----- Deck Cadet, Engine Cadet, Fifth Engineer, Junior Engineer. Best institutes to pursue the course are: TS Chanakya, Mumbai and Marine Engineering Research Institute (MERI), in Kolkata and Mumbai. |
