NET stands for National Eligibility Test.
NET exam being conducted by UGC. The exam will be conducted for the award of the Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) and also fro eligibility into Lecture ship. Eligibility criteria: you should have to score a min of 55% of marks in their post graduation course in order to be eligible for this exam. Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st category. There is no upper age limit for the candidate lecture ship. But for JRF, one should be in the age group of 19 to 28 years. NET -- National Eligibility Test
Net exam conduct by the UGC every year two time for Jrf and Lecturership in month of june and december. NET exam notification comes in month of March and September in employment News and ugc website also. Net Result declare in the month of April for december month and second, june month result declere in month of october. For net candidate can apply online only on --http://www.ugcnetonline.in/ Eligibility:- Post graduation in any subject with 55% from any recognised university. Age limit is maximum 28 year for jrf and no upper age limit for lectureship. There are three papers conduct in net exam. I.paper- This paper is of General aptitude II and III paper - This paper is based on Your post graduation subject. NET stands for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST and this examination conducted by UGC every year 2 times.To apply for this examination You must have pursuing post graduate degree course from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks,final year candidates also eligible to apply for NET.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidate should complete PG from a recognized from a recognized university. No age limit to apply for lecturer JRF your age not more than 28 years. Candidate scored 55% marks for in course. Eligible candidates fill the application form online,the exam fe of NET 450rs ,you have to paid the fees as a challan from in any branches of state bank of india.candidates are allow to choose subjects in NET exam on the basis of post graduation subjects. For the humanities and art discipline it is administered by the University Grants Commission (refereed as "UGC NET") while for the science and engineering discipline it is jointly conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission ("CSIR-UGC" NET). A candidate must fulfill the following minimum eligibility criterion for appearing for the exam.. 1) The candidate must be less than 28 years of age as seen on the 1st of June or December (depending on which exam you are appearing for) 2) You must have also completed your post graduation from recognized institute..with at least 55% without rounding off (50% for reserved candidates) |

NET stands for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC two times a year one in June and other in December for selection of Lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship(JRF).
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Post Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University with at least 55% marks(50% marks for SC/ST candidate) and above the age of 19 years, can apply for NET. There is no upper age bar for those applying for Lectureship but those applying JRF should be within the age of 28 years. The NET can be applied through on line. The last date of submission of application is 02.05.2012. The last date of submission of hard copy of on line application form along with other documents is 09.05.2012. UGC NET exam is conducted two times in a year. Here is the full information about NET exam. There is no age limit for the NET exam. The candidates should be a citizen of india. Those candidates who are applying should be complete Post graduation from any recognised university with atleast 55% of marks. There is a relaxation of 5% for the SC/ST candidates.
