respected sir/madam , plz tell me about the stet test in haryana. how much time the test is held in one year. eligibility, dates of stet test in haryana 2012and other important information about stet test.

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test

STET/HTET is conducted every year for recruitment of teachers in primary and upper primary schools. This test has been mandatory by government of Haryana for both government/private run schools. There are two papers. Paper I is for class I-V and paper II is for class VI-VII teacher posts. A candidate can apply for both on satisfaction of eligibility criteria. Following educational background is required to appear for this examination.

• Those who have passed senior secondary examination with at least 45% marks can apply for Paper I.
• Those who have passed 2 year diploma in elementary education are also eligible for Paper I.
• Candidates who have 4 years bachelor's degree of elementary education can apply for both papers.
• B.Sc/B.A degree holder with at least 50% marks in B.Ed also eligible for both papers.

Paper consist of 150 MCQ type questions of 1 mark. Time provided is 1 hour 30 minutes. Subject of the exam is Language, Mathematics, Environmental studies, Child development and pedagogy. Notificaton of TET 2012 is going to come out very soon. Application can be made both online and offline. You should visit official website of HTET to track the notification.
