Is Karunya University valid and acceptable by Tamil Nadu Government Education department?

I have completed M.A English from Karunya University, Coimbatore. I got job in Tamil Nadu Government Education department. I am getting incentive for M.A English. Now they are asking that is Karunya university is not approved one? What should I do now? How can I verify whether it is actually valid or not?
