SET stands for state eligibility test. This exam conducted every BY each state of India.First I give you information about schedule of SET exam of 2012.
SET IN OBJECTIVE MODE FROM ENSUING 2012 EXAMINATION ONWARDS. 1. The SET will be conducted in objective mode from ensuing 2012 examination onwards. The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held in two separate sessions as under. : Session Paper Marks No. of Questions Duration I I 100 60 out of which 50 questions to be attempted 11/4hours (10.00 a.m. to 11.15 a.m.) I II 100 50 questions all are compulsory 11/4hours (11.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) II III 150 75 questions all are compulsory 21/2hours (02.00 p.m. to 04.30 p.m.) Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any fifty (50). In the event of the candidate attempting more than fifty questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated. Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks. Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks. The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the Test Booklet. 2. The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below : CATEGORY MINIUM QUALIFYING MARKS PAPER-I (Out of 100) PAPER-II (Out of 100) PAPER-III (Out of 150) GENERAL 40 (40%) 40 (40%) 75 (50%) OBC/DT/NT/ SBC) (Only Non Creamy layer) 35 (35%) 35 (35%) 67.5 (45%) rounded off to 68 PH/VH 35 (35%) 35 (35%) 60 (40%) SC/ST 35 (35%) 35 (35%) 60 (40%) Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required marks in each paper, separately, will be considered for final preparation of result. 3. There will be no negative marking. 4. The syllabus for Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III will remain the same. @;- THE LAST DATE OF SUBMITTING THE FORM IS 18 AUGUST 2012 AND ENTRANCE DATE IS AUGUST21,23,24 2012. |
