hi...
there are advantages and disadvantages in both the ways if you are doing diploma and then going for engineering then you will be really very good in practical aspects but your mathematics will be really poor, if you go through intermediate through eamcet then your maths and physics will be good also your analyzing power will be really good, all the best |

Dear friend,
To do B.Tech both the entries are good. If a student is going through lateral entry, he will take the admission in the 2nd year of B.tech. After diploma the student can have more practical knowledge comparing to the student who has gone after completing 10+2. All the best. |

Re: Lateral entry to B.tech after Diploma or Direct entry through EAMCET: Better choice for doing B.Tech?
Both the options are good enough. In the lateral entry you can join directly into the second year. But the seats are limited and depends on the number of students that join directly in the first year. So it will be advisable to complete intermediary and then join for B.Tech course. If you plan to go for diploma course make sure it is from a recognized institute.

Quote:
I think it is better to join b.tech through lateral entry because in diploma you will have practical experience unlike the direct entry students. Moreover you will have chances of getting placed in some company by the time you finish your graduation. GOOD LUCK |
