The entrance exam pattern for the university of Madras, M.Phil course is same as for the Ph.D programme. Also, you need to clear the UGC or SLET exams as per the revised university criteria to get select for M.Phil. Since you are going to apply for the CS, it is in the Chepauk campus of the university. But the application time got over in the march itself. Try in the forth coming year with good score in the competitive exams like UGC and SLET or NET.

Is it necessary to write slet before joining m.phil??? there is no such lines stated in the information brochure for m.phil programme of madras university.............

Till May 5th you have time to apply in Madras University for M.phil and they are not asking for NET and other stuffs. Pattern is whatever you studied in ur M.sc IT or MCA or any related courses in PG, just prepare those core papers thats more than enough..!
