Is Mathematics compulsory for NIMCET examination?


I am a student of B.Sc Physics (Hons). I opted Mathematics as one of my subsidiary subject. Please tell me if I am eligible for NIMCET or not? If yes, then kindly share the latest syllabus and exam pattern details.

The acronym NIMCET stands for National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test.

Eligibility criteria for NIMCET:

Academic qualification: B.Sc with Mathematics as one of subjects can apply for NIMCET examination.

Minimum of 60% marks in bachelor's degree is required.

You can apply for NICMET exam with mathematics as one of compulsory subject.

Eligibility for NIMCET exam:-

You should have minimum of 60% aggregate in 12th as well as graduationn

For SC / ST candidates they should have got at least 55% aggrigate.

You should have studied maths/ statistics/ business maths in graduation as well as 12th.

The eligibility to appear in NIMCET conducted for admission in MCA course in NIT include :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidate must have Mathematics or Statistics as one paper in bachelor degree.

Candidate must have scored minimum 60% aggregate in bachelor degree.

So, only candidates having above required qualification are eligible to appear for the examination to get admission in MCA course.

They must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST). Candidates in the final year of qualifying exam are also eligible. They must present the passing certificate before September 15, 2019.

NIMCET 2019 Exam Pattern- NIT Surathkal has announced the official paper pattern for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET 2019). ... NIMCET assesses a candidate on his mathematical skills, computer awareness, general English and logical reasoning and ability. It is a two-hour exam, with 120 objective questions.

The second section of NIMCET examination consists of the mathematical ability questions for which the candidates should thoroughly practice mental mathematics.
