For someone in fashion design, math may seem like a cumbersome, useless subject or even an obstacle that must be overcome. However, even this form of art requires knowledge of numbers.
no ........maths is not necessary bt yes knowledge of maths is an added advantage !!!Math does help with fashion designing cause you need geometrie (translation, rotations and reflexion if you wanna your clothes in 3D). You also have to learn how to mesure. example if you wanna mesure how much fabric you need. No, maths is not required for the fashion designing course as students of fashion courses are taught details about drawing and computer aided design program so that they can illustrate their innovative designs and creativity in the best possible manner. Thus, right from drawing, learning various softwares and technologies are an important aspect of the syllabus of fashion courses.
The eligibility criteria for the same is as under- One needs to pass - 10+2 with Science in order to pursue a Diploma or Degree in Fashion Designing. To pursue Postgraduate studies in Fashion Designing, one needs to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Arts or should be a Bachelor's Degree holder in Fine Arts. |

Part of it is determining the length of a piece of clothing, how much it's worth, how much to sell it for, etc. Long story short, it's highly recommended but I don't believe it's necessary

Ofcourse, but you don't need to study like engineering maths and all... you just need to know the basic math which have been taught you till 10th class.
Maths is necessary in fashion design because you have to make patterns, designs, measurements and to get the peak of your profession you need to know maths also so that you can make garment outstanding.... |
