1. CBSE has not set any minimum age criteria for appearing in 10th board examination. CBSE says that if a candidate has passed ninth standard at any age and has registered for board examination of standard 10th, he can appear for high school board exam undoubtedly.
2. Your son is in eight standard now, he will be in ninth standard in next academic year when registration for board examination will be done and he can appear for tenth board exam after that. |

According to my knowledge the minimum age criteria to appear in 10th is 14 years.
If your age is less than 14 years then you are not allowed to appear in the examination hall. So first of all make sure about age criteria. As per the information you have given your child will be eligible to appear in 10th board in 2018. |

My son is born on 25-10-2013 while taking admission in playgroup in June 2016 he was 2 year 7 months old, so the preschool center head gave us two options either you can join him in playgroup or nursery since his age is 7 months more and suggested better you start with playgroup only because few schools have age criteria that child should be 6 years old to take admission in first standard so we followed his suggestion and took admission in playgroup, he is nursery now but I see many kids who are younger than my son also studying in nursery he will be 6 years 7 months old by the time he enters 1st standard (1st June 2020) am so confused whether he is studying in the right class as per his age kindly provide your suggestions

Sorry :-( it is not possible in CBSE. To be in every standard there is an age barrier. Your kid atleast need to be 14 to appear for 10th examination. if you wish you can make your child familiar with the syllabus in summer vacations and weekend along with current syllabus and make him/her give exam at correct age without wasting a year.
Although my advice until proper intellectual skills are obtained is better to go step by step for your child's strong & clear base. |

CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education.
There is no minimum age required for appearing in 10th class CBSE. Because, CBSE has not set any age criteria for 10th class yet. So, right now, you are in 8th class, then next year you will pass 9th class and then you go for 10th class. |

My Daughter DOB is 01/01/2017. I have checked some CBSC board school in tamil nadu - chennai.
Some particular schools are mentioned she is eligible for Pre Kg for the Acadamic year 2020-2021. Some schools are ok for L Kg for the Acadamic year 2020-2021. I am confused with age cut off. it will be any impact on her 10th exam because of that. Please clarify whether she is eligible for LKG next Acadamic year 2020-2021 or not? |
