Minimum age requirement for IRS exam? Coaching institutes for IRS exam in Indore?

To become IRS, you will have to clear civil service exam conducted by UPSC and then choose IRS. You need to be a graduate to appear for this exam and age requirement is 21-30 years.

You need to be at least 21years old. Also you cannot be over 30 years of age. In case you are already a graduate you can appear for this exam if you fall under this age group. You will not be able to appear for the exam in 2011 as the last date for submitting application form is over. In case you plan to appear next year then you must lookout for the notifications in the month of January and February.

IRS stands for Indian Revenue Service.

It is conducted by UPSC ( Union Public service Commission) every year.

Eligibility criteria for IRS :-

> Nationality :- The candidate must be a citizen of India.

> Age limit :- The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years.

There is also age relaxation provided to SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates as per government rule.

Upper age limit relaxation provided to :-

SC / ST :- 5 years

OBC :- 3 years

3] Educational Qualifications :-

The candidate must be completed his/ her graduation from any recognized university.

4] the candidate who is appearing in final year can apply for this exam.

Selection procedure for IRS comprises of three stages :-

> Preliminary examination

> Mains examination

> Personal interview
