I have completed my 12th Board exams from Commerce stream. I want to join Indian Railways. So, wanted to know about the minimum education required to apply for Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE)? And, about the entrance exam for TTE?

The minimum educational qualification to apply for T.T.E Exam is matriculation with minimum 50% marks.

The entrance exam for T.T.E consists of a written test followed by a personal interview.

The written test consists of 150 questions that range from different subjects like general English, mathematics, general knowledge, mathematical reasoning, comprehensive English, current affairs and other questions related with railway.

After clearing the written exam, personal interview is conducted by the board members for screening final candidates.

Candidates selected in personal interview will be sent for medical examination. The candidates who clear the medical round will be sent for training as a TE/TC, post completion of which they will be included in ranks of Indian railways.

RRB which stands for Railway Recruitment Board conducts entrance examination for post of Train Ticket Examiner. The criteria required are:

>>Candidate must have done 12th from a recognized board. It is the minimum academic qualification required for this post.

>>The age criteria is 18-30 years. There is three years upper age relaxation for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates.
