Re: Minimum percentage required in B.Tech. for admission in M.Tech. in IITs?
hi...
you should be an graduate with minimum of 60% in your graduation, the percentage in your graduation level plays an very important part at the time of interview ,if its there, because some college take admission on the basis of gate score only, but the most important thing to get an admission in iit is to get really good score in gate exam, for which you have to really study hard, also take some coaching because that will be really helpful all the best |

Re: Minimum marks required in B.Tech for M.Tech in IITs?
Minimum score required by IIT's is 60%
However it goes without saying higher scores enhance your chances. Eligibility for post graduation in nit or iit? The same score is needed for NIT's too. |

Re: Minimum marks required in B.Tech for M.Tech in IITs?
In order to be eligible for admission to IIT it is a must that the candidate should have at least 6.75 CGPA or at least 60% marks in graduation. Also it is a must that the candidate have a minimum of 300 score if your are from general category. For those from SC/ST a score of 200 is sufficient. Thereafter the candidate will be required to clear the interview round. Also you need to have cleared your graduation from a recognised institute.

Re: Minimum marks required in B.Tech for M.Tech in IITs?
there are no minimum marks criterion in B.Tech to take admission in M.Tech with GATE score in IIT.
but if you want to take a mission in IIT ither the\an GATE score like in self sponsored seat then you should have minimum of 60% marks in B.Tech. but to take admission in IIT with GATE score you have to attend one interview. this interview will carry 30% and GATE score will carry 70%. based on the total you will be admitted to the IIT. now if you have a very low marks in B.Tech then you may get very low marks in interview and you may not get the opportunity to take admission in IIT. so minimum of 60% marks in B.Tech is preferable to take admission in M.Tech in IIT. though there is no such criterion. visit the IIT website for each IIT to know the eligibility criterion to take admission in M.Tech for different IIT. best wishes. |

Re: Minimum marks required in B.Tech for M.Tech in IITs?
Hello Friend
There is not any minimum marks requirement in the M.Tech . All that you need to sit for the GATE exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Sciences for the admission in the M.Tech Courses.. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ,if you want to pursue the postgraduate degree from the IIT's Then you will have to sit for the GATE exam.. Eligibility criteria for the exam is that you must have bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture or technology. Or Master’s degree in any branch of Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications are eligible for the exam.. The duration of the GATE exam is of 3 hours consisting of 65 objective type questions carrying 100 marks. Every question is a multiple type questions. There is negative marking also for a wrong answer. The negative mark is 1/3 of the total marks alloted to the question. Best wishes for the GATE exam. |
