There are various jobs under government sector and the eligibility criteria for each varies. However, for most of the jobs under the government sector either at state or at central level, one needs to qualify entrance examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, State Level Public Service Commission etc. and in order to be considered eligible, one needs to possess the minimum academic qualification required for the desired position and department, irrespective of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

You have not mentioned you educational qualification. Graduates require a minimum of 55% marks to apply for central government jobs. Candidates belonging to reserved category need only 45% marks to be eligible. For bank exams, graduation is necessary to apply for officer post. Plus two students with first class marks can apply for clerical post in public sector banks. A minimum of 50 % marks is required in 10th, 12th and graduation to apply for government jobs of any cadre.

There are l lot of government jobs and they all have different criteria but if you want to know cumulatively then i can tell you that you have to obtain at least first division to appear in these exams.
